After getting back into pokemon cards recently and rewatching this video, holy crap these are some expensive cards he's purchasing. Like I'll never be able to acquire some of these without getting lucky from packs due to the resell cost of cards nowadays. That giratina alt art is one of my favorite looking cards of all time, but i will never be able to just purchase that card as a single unless the cost plummets hard. So looking at all of these cards he purchased for submissions is crazy to me

Trusting your equipment is massive when you're doing something like this. That's why when you're in basic training, the harness you use for this (I think it was only a 50ft tower) is a single rope that they teach you to tie into a crotch piece to use as a harness. If you don't pay attention and tie it properly, you're fucked.

As a climber vs someone that just rappels, I’m always curious why they teach with an 8 vs either an ATC with a third hand or a Grigri/descender since both options would be a bit safer and have less chance of critical user error.
